Two Day Course
Our Sustainable Large Scale installation course has been tweaked, improved, and updated. We have replaced the moongate with a modular broken arch so that it is more aligned to current wedding and event trends.
Elevate your floristry skills with our comprehensive two-day course focused on sustainable large-scale installations. We'll provide you with techniques, mechanics, and valuable insights, enabling you to create Wow factor foam-free installations. Using an abundance of the best flowers, we will share our years of knowledge and experience to help you create up to date sustainable flower designs that you will be proud of. Whatever your experience, you will definitely learn new skills, tips and tricks and leave feeling confident.
DAY ONE
Giant Urns
Starting with giant urns we will explain the techniques as well as talking you through the importance of selecting the appropriate flowers. By using certain flowers, foliage and plants your designs will have movement, dimension and scale and of course ensure that all stems are in water.
Massive Mantle
In the past, mantle pieces have been previously made with the use of flower foam.
At The Bath Flower School, we're breaking away from tradition and will show you how to create naturally styled mantle designs that are not only impressive but also sustainable. Say goodbye to conventional methods as we show you innovative techniques for eco-friendly mantle pieces.
DAY TWO
Large Broken Arch
We will teach you the importance of using the right vessels and the safe mechanics to maximise both the design and the visual impact of the flowers. On this course we use our modular structure from Floral Fabrications, but the techniques taught can be transferred and used for various installations such as doorways, moongates, columns and more.
Super-Sized Suspended Installation
Hanging installations, popular for weddings and events, come in various shapes and sizes. We'll share secure techniques and the right flowers, allowing you to create installations that are both safe and stunning.
By the end of the two-day workshop you will not only have gained valuable knowledge and practical skills but also a newfound sense of readiness and confidence. Armed with insights into sustainable methods, you'll be well-prepared to take on large-scale projects with assurance and expertise.

The Flowers – we will source the best seasonal flowers and foliage and where possible will buy British from our amazing local flower farmers
Floristry Techniques – as a sustainable flower school, we are completely foam free and strive to minimise our negative impact on the environment at every opportunity. All methods taught on the course will be done so in as a sustainable way as possible.
During the course, there will be time to talk about any individual projects that you may have coming up. Technical questions, pricing, logistics, design, ask us anything. We’re here to help! There will also be time to style your work and take photos in order to get some good images for your portfolio.
Depending on the size of the arrangement and the time taken to complete, you will be working in groups of either 2, 3 or 6 people

A £300 deposit is required to confirm your course place.
