The Professional Floristry Course is our biggest, longest, all singing, all dancing course! This complete floristry course gives you the whole package of everything you need to know to launch your career as a florist.
This intensive two week career change course covers both practical and business skills and equips you with all the knowledge, information and confidence you need to start your own profitable sustainable floristry business.
We will teach you all the necessary techniques required to be an accomplished florist, whilst encouraging you to develop your own style and individuality.
Whilst we are florists and will teach you the floristry side of the course, we feel it’s very important to bring in the experts to cover the extra elements which are vital to a successful business. During the course we will hold sessions with a photographer, branding and media team, social media expert and an independent funeral director, all of whom will enhance and complete your learning experience with us at The Bath Flower School.
This course in designed to give you all the information, knowledge, guidance and support you need to set you on your journey to becoming a confident professional florist.

The Flowers –
There will be a lot of flowers and they will always be the stars of the show. We choose the absolute best quality and most beautiful flowers, these when possible will be sourced from our amazing British local flower farmers. We allow you to select the flowers that you want to use from the overflowing and abundant flower stand.
Floristry Techniques –
As a flower school that teaches sustainable techniques, we are completely foam free and strive to minimise our negative impact on the environment at every opportunity. All methods taught on the course will be as sustainable as possible.
Teaching Style -
Our practical sessions begin with a teacher demonstration where we talk you through the relevant techniques and give you advice as to what flowers work well and why. We aim to inspire and guide you but never expect you to simply copy what we have done. It’s then over to you to choose your flowers and get creative by interpreting the design in your own unique way. This is your chance to play, experiment and be free. The session is then followed by friendly and constructive feedback.
At the end of each session we encourage you to use the school’s beautifully lit space to style and photograph your work so that you can start building images for your portfolio. We will then teach you a fool proof formula in order to accurately have a retail price for your flowers.
We encourage you to learn and be inspired by your fellow students and we strive to give you as much of our knowledge as we possibly can. The Bath Flower School is a positive learning place, a supportive non-judgemental environment. We are here to help you in whatever way we can in order for you to become the florist you want to be.
Support and Aftercare -
We aim to try and answer all your questions on the course and don’t consider any question ‘too stupid’. The more you ask, the more we can tell you! If after the course has finished questions arise, we are more than happy to chat about any queries or concerns that you may have. We are here to support you in any way we can. We will add you to our ‘Florum’, a community of kind, supportive students that have attended our courses. The Florum is a great communication tool allowing you to discuss and share ideas, as well as a way of seeking and offering freelance work.
Also included in the course is a dedicated half-day one-on-one business session designed to monitor your progress and keep you motivated. This tailored session is adaptable to your unique needs and can be scheduled at any point after the course.

This course runs from Monday to Friday for the 2 weeks. Each day starts at 10am and
finishes at 4pm with an hour off each day for lunch.
WHO IS IT FOR?
For those who wish to change careers and and follow a path into the world of floristry. No previous experience required. Absolute beginners are warmly welcomed!

HOW MUCH?
£2,850 – Includes all tuition, materials, flowers and refreshments.
HOW TO BOOK?
A £500 deposit is required to confirm your course place.
