THE COURSE…
We are so excited to welcome Andrea Gilpin back to The Bath Flower School for a full day of flowers and photography. This unique workshop is designed to help you not only create beautiful floral arrangements, but also learn how to capture them at their very best.
In the morning, you’ll create your own compote bowl arrangement, working with an abundance of seasonal flowers and foliage. We’ll show you how to use colour to evoke mood, how texture and form can bring depth and interest, and how to balance space and scale so your design feels effortless yet impactful. This is your chance to play, experiment and discover new ways of working with flowers, with gentle guidance to help you grow in confidence. By the end of the session, you’ll have a beautiful arrangement that truly reflects your own creative voice, ready to be photographed.
The afternoon is where the magic happens. Andrea will share her expertise in photographing flowers with your iPhone or Android, helping you to truly showcase your creations. You’ll learn about natural lighting, framing, styling, composition and shooting from different angles. With props, backdrops and plenty of natural light at your fingertips, Andrea will show you how to capture your arrangement with clarity and style, creating images you’ll be proud to share.
Whether you dream of building a portfolio, want to share your designs beautifully on social media, or simply wish to remember your creations once the flowers fade, this workshop will give you the skills and confidence to do so.
ABOUT ANDREA…
Andrea is a floral and lifestyle photographer who specialises in working with artists, florists, gardeners and growers. Her images have appeared in publications such as Homes & Antiques, Period Living, BBC Wildlife, Stella and Vogue. She is happiest when surrounded by flowers – both wild and cultivated – and brings that passion to every workshop she teaches.
